SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Position Title: Social Media and Communications Manager
Reports To: Executive Director
Position Description:

We are looking for a talented Social media coordinator to create and maintain a strong online presence for our non-profit organization. Your role is to implement online marketing strategies through social media accounts.  If you are a tech-savvy professional with an interest in communicating with clients through online channels, we would like to meet you.

What does a social media coordinator do?

As a Social media and communications Manager, you will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers and promote our brand. Ultimately, you should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies.

Time Commitment:

M-F 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Flexible)

Responsibilities

  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends
  • Create engaging text, image and video content
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries
  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Oversee social media accounts’ layout
  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions and competitions

Requirements

  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
  • Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Multitasking and analytical skills
  • Obtaining a BS degree in Marketing, Communications, media or relevant field

 

 

FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT

Reports To: Executive Director

Position Description:
The fundraising and events coordinator will assist with fundraising, donor stewardship and event planning activities.

Time Commitment: 
M-F 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Flexible)
Responsibilities

  • Assist with all donor stewardship, renewal and recognition activities
  • Lead the planning and management of fundraising events
  • Coordinate and follow up on mailings and phone campaigns, as well as donor requests
  • Work with the fundraising team to prospect and solicit major donors
  • Identify and approach potential business partners
  • Help increase communications with supporters
  • Assist with general fundraising activities as needed

Requirements

  • Some Fundraising and/or event planning experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships with new people and organizations
  • Experience working in an office environment and independently
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook

VIDEOGRAPHER/VIDEO EDITOR

Position Title: Videographer/Video Editor
Reports To: Executive Director / Manager of Communications

Time Commitment: 
Position is Ongoing – On Call; as needed and available throughout year. If individual has required software, this position may serve in some part from home and/or may include office hours for editing purposes M-F 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Position Summary:

  • Individual will assist the efforts of the Marketing & Communications by helping shoot and create videos for internal, web and social media use as well as edit video footage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Film and edit video projects as needed
  • Individual must use own video and editing equipment

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with creating/editing video Tools and Equipment Used:
  • Video Camera, editing software Physical Demands:
  • Volunteer must be physically able to manage equipment.

 

 

 

AFTER SCHOOL, PROGRAM SPANISH INSTRUCTOR

Reports To: Executive Director

Position Description:

The FPF Foundation at Skypointe, Spanish as a second language program is a non-profit community program that primarily serves preschool aged children but also services children up to 12 years of age throughout the year with special programming during holiday and summer breaks. We assist parents by providing services based on parent’s ability to pay. Low income children and those from single family homes may be eligible to participate in this program free of charge.

We strive to provide a safe atmosphere for the children and to develop them physically, emotionally, and academically.

Time Commitment: 
Position is Ongoing – 2 to 3 days per week from 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • We are looking for a teacher that can teach basic Spanish words to children ages 4-6 on a weekly basis.
  • Individual will assist the efforts of the Marketing & Communications by helping shoot and create videos for internal, web and social media use as well as edit video footage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position requires the following skills: General Education, Tutoring, Literacy / Reading, Reading / Writing, Teaching / Instruction

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • Background check & Finger printed
  • Demonstrated experience working children
  • Spanish Fluency

 

 

AFTER SCHOOL, PROGRAM CHESS

Position Title: Chess Teacher
Reports To: Executive Director

Position Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chess player to teach youth in the city of Wilmington the game of Chess.  The ideal candidate will work with youth interested in learning the game of chess and building strategies for the game. If long term, the volunteer will prepare a group for a Chess Tournament at the end of the school year.

This program will help achieve the goals in alignment with the organization mission by preparing youth for academic success using Chess as a vehicle for building critical thinking, developing problem solving skills, overcoming obstacles, working as a team and critical thinking.

The ideal volunteer must have a love for chess and the desire to share and teach young kids.
Time Commitment: 
Position is Ongoing – 1 to 3 days per week from 5:30pm – 7:00pm (based on enrollment)

This position requires the following skills: Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Youth Services, Teaching / Instruction, Child Development
