The Serenity House is rooted in the understanding that long-term recovery is about more than abstinence, it’s about restoration, reintegration, and reconnection. This program is structured to create sustainable life change for individuals while creating ripple effects that uplift families and communities.

  • Begin family repair and reunification through workshops and communication planning

Long-Term Goals:
  • Support at least 80% of residents in maintaining sobriety throughout their stay
  • Ensure 75% of residents secure permanent housing or stable transition placement post-exit
  • Reduce recidivism and emergency care utilization among program participants
  • Facilitate reconnection between parents and children through structured, supported engagement
  • Strengthen emotional resilience and social-emotional growth through whole-person care

The Promise House fills a critical service gap in Delaware’s recovery landscape. Without structured housing, individuals completing treatment or returning from incarceration face an uphill battle. This program not only helps stabilize lives but also reduces the downstream costs of untreated addiction, homelessness, and incarceration.

Expected 12-Month Impact:
  • 85% of residents will complete the program or a transition plan
  • 90% will maintain sobriety throughout their residency
  • 100% will receive individual case plans, peer mentoring, and community resource linkage
  • 75% will secure employment, education, or training within the first month
  • 65% will reunify or reestablish contact with children or immediate family
  • 50%+ reduction in recidivism risk and emergency system involvement compared to baseline

This is more than housing, it’s a scalable, cost-effective model that addresses addiction, housing instability, family separation, and reentry all in one place. It is where recovery becomes a foundation for generational healing.

Every resident’s story is unique.

More About The Promise House

The Promise House is a sober living, reentry, and recovery housing program under Future Promises Foundation, operated in partnership with Serenity Health & Recovery. It provides more than just shelter, it’s a structured, nurturing home where individuals and families impacted by substance use, trauma, or incarceration can rebuild their lives together.

In Delaware, far too many individuals exit treatment or incarceration only to return to unsafe, unsupported environments. Without stability, guidance, or connection, the risk of relapse or reoffending skyrockets. The Serenity House addresses this critical gap by offering a whole-person, family-centered approach to recovery, grounded in dignity, accountability, and love.

Every resident’s story is unique. We meet them where they are, emotionally, socially, and spiritually, and walk with them on a guided path toward independence, wellness, and reconnection.
